Maple Avenue Home

A 1920s foursquare cut into small, dark rooms by decades of updates. The new owners wanted the first floor opened up without losing the original trim and floors.
What changed
We removed two walls, replaced a bearing wall with a flush beam, and opened the living and dining rooms to the kitchen. We relaid the original oak floors, milled new trim to match the old, rewired the first floor, and added a mudroom at the back door.

“We lived in the house the whole time. They sealed off each room, cleaned up every night, and the dog never got out once.”
